THE FARMHOUSE - Main Bedroom

The upstairs floor to the left of the farmhouse had previously been partitioned into two bedrooms, unfortunately the layout meant that to gain access to the other half of the farmhouse you had to enter through the main bedroom - hardly practical. There was nothing for it but to remove all of the lathe and plaster walls and build a different layout incorporating a corridor.
Having cleared the space the partitioning for the corridor was built. Although more complicated, the corridor was not built straight, but weaved a little to produce a more realistic finished effect and avoid any "boxiness". Virtually all of the plaster was removed from the walls and refinished, exposing the stonework around the windows and along the corridor section. A small walk-in dressing room was incorporated into the design for the main bedroom.
